Zavičajna Kuća Šakota is a stone house built 65 years ago. It is nestled away from the noise of everyday life, offering a view over meadows and forests, stretching to the hilly massif above the Adriatic Sea. You can reach our small oasis of peace by taking a rural asphalt road, just one kilometer away from the main road Sarajevo – Neum.
Our mission
The village of Kozice, in the municipality of Stolac in Herzegovina, is the homeland of the Šakota family. It is our duty to keep the flame of life alive here in Kozice, at the place of our origin, where we are truly home, and where the roots of our family, moral, and spiritual identity lie.

How to Get to Us?
Zavičajna Kuća Šakota is located in the heart of Herzegovina, in the village of Kozice, municipality of Stolac. It is easy to reach us:
- By Car: The house is just 1 kilometer from the Sarajevo–Neum main road. Access is via a rural asphalt road, with clear signs guiding you directly to our yard.
- By Bus: The nearest main bus station is in Mostar.
- By Train or Plane: If you are arriving by train or plane, your destination is Mostar, from where we will organize transportation to our house.
Free Transfer from Mostar
We offer free transfer for our guests from Mostar. Our comfortable tourist vehicle will pick you up at the station or airport and take you directly to Zavičajna Kuća Šakota. At the end of your stay, we will return you to the agreed location.
